DEVELOPMENT AND PERSONAL GROWTH: A RETREAT (ADVANCE)
Description:
This course provides an exposure to the concepts of
leadership development, personal growth, leading with soul, managing stress
and self-management, working effectively with people, and personal and
organizational change. In a retreat setting, the course helps individuals
develop a renewed sense of self and learn how to foster the development
of confidence, esteem, and leadership effectiveness. Individuals assess
their core values and develop a strategic personal plan including a vision
and mission statement. The course helps participants focus attention on
their creative potentials and how to begin to realize more of them. An
appreciation for and understanding of different strategies and tools for
fostering such development in others is explored within the context of
organizational leadership
During the course individuals will assess themselves with respect to leadership
effectiveness, emotional intelligence (EQ), habits of successful leaders,
self-management and wellness, values, and teamwork. Individuals identify
their current strengths, areas to target for improvement, and receive
feedback from their peers on their leadership behaviors. Drawing from
the latest research on these areas, individuals how to become more flexible
and develop a more creative approach to leading and working with others.
Also, this course includes powerful, interactive simulation exercises
which challenge participants to apply rogram insights to situations modeling
real work-place situations.
The program also includes a team project and presentation which is built
upon an integration of course insights. Lastly, participants develop a
personal development plan for improvements in the future.

- Receive feedback from your peers with respect to your strengths, improvement
areas, and development plans.
- Develop skills in strategic planning.
- Formulate a plan for change related to your own personal development
