Seminar Description

Leadership and management literature suggest that the most important factor distinguishing effective from ineffective leaders is their understanding and use of emotional intelligence. A leader’s emotional intelligence includes their degree of self- awareness, ability to manage emotions, and ability to engender self-motivation. Emotional intelligence also focuses on an individual’s ability to relate well to others, be a mentor for other’s emotional development, foster a motivating environment, and manage conflict effectively. This skill building program provides tools, techniques, and an understanding of the guiding leadership EQ principles that address each of these critical areas. Through interactive exercises, assessments, and stimulating discussions, participants will learn how to develop their own EQ from a leadership framework, and understand how to facilitate the development of these skills in other individuals, teams, and in their organizational culture. The program also includes simulations as well as opportunities to practice skills, and development of a personal action plan to apply program insights back on the job.

What you will learn:

  • Know how to apply leadership EQ principles and techniques to build and enhancing better and more productive work relationships with your boss, peers and staff.
  • Assess in detail your leadership EQ Profile including learning actions you can take, right now, to build on your strengths and improve on areas you need to work on with respect to personal emotion management, self awareness, and skill in leading others.
  • Become a more satisfying and respected leader by building your self-esteem and confidence to better manage people problems.
  • Receive personal coaching and learn how you can develop higher levels of EQ in yourself and others.
  • Learn new techniques to improve your effectiveness in handling adversity, develop emotional presence, and increase motivation levels.
  • Know the underlying sources of lower levels of EQ and ineffectiveness in others and how to help them improve.
  • Develop skills in how to create a more trusting, motivating work environment, and boost personal and team performance levels.
  • Know the best way to handle the difficult employee and manage conflict situations more effectively.
  • Know how to maximize individual and team personality strengths and contributions.
  • Go away with an effective personal development plan for change that will push your career into hyper-space.
